My uncle worked on the 89th floor of the south tower. They were told to shelter in place after the first plane. When the second one hit he had no way out. All they found to identify him was a fragment of his shin bone. Brent James Woodall ❤️never forget

She explains everything so scientificly and in a matter of fact tone. But I can’t imagine the heaviness she and her colleagues have experienced doing such important work for so many years. The 9-11 memorial has a room of remains of people that were never identified. It’s almost down to 1000 people today because of this woman and her peers. The work is still ongoing. I hope they all find peace one day

I remember in the days and weeks afterward, how everyone wanted to come and donate blood. People were just desperate to do something, but hospitals had to announce that they couldn't take anymore. they didn't need it. the disaster on 9/11 was so complete that there were few people gravely injured. There were survivors and dead. either you walked/ran away, or you were in pieces. very little in between.

As a responder in the crew that had to remove the apparatus,I found things I don't talk about,but whatever I found was handled with care as the FBI came to identify the spots on the truck they were found.
