After seeing Fall Out Boy at Download Festival 2024 I had to go meet my husband to go back to our tent. Because the weather was truly awful my feet kept getting stuck in the mud and as I tried to pull my foot out of the mud the entire bottom of my shoe completely came off so I had to walk the 15+ minutes back to the tent with one shoe missing having to walk over many hard stones and loads of puddles. As we got to District X we made the decision that I would sit on a bench while my husband went back to the tent to grab me some different shoes to walk back in. As I sat down at this bench a lady said to me oh I think someone’s been sick there, so yeah I sat in someone’s sick after all that.

have you heard about the urban legend that was poo girl? back in the late 00s (can't remember what year) the rumour spread around reading festival that a girl had fallen into the long drop toilets while reaching to grab her phone that she had dropped into the pit of piss and shit below. those toilets were absolutely foul. I have no idea how true it was, but by the end of the weekend EVERYONE had heard about poo girl

Last night of Leeds just after my 18th birthday we slept 9 people in a 3 man tent because people were going round setting tents on fire where my friends camped so they packed up and moved in with us. Totally normal UK festival experience 😂

Went my first festival and I got knocked out by a stranger and then had a security guard blames me then put me with the bloke as he went to attack me my fella came up and punched him in the face found out the security guard had a pew pew and I was on his list with my name and picture of me underneath the picture was she must die and not come back found out it was my fellas ex boyfriend never went to another festival again now have PTSD BECAUSE OF THIS

the last time I went Reading Fesitval, they banned campfires on the last night. People would still light them here & there though, so instead of each group having a fire there were like 30 total spread out. A massive roving mob starting going from fire to fire and being absolutely feral. I was asleep in my tent when they came near us. They trampled the tent with me in it, tent became like a sleeping bag around me. Then they started shouting at the people I was with who had been outside around a small fire, that if they didnt show off their chests they were going to throw me onto the fire. Eventually they left and I had a massive panic attack & only calmed down because a random doctor was camping near by & helped me. It was about 4am at this point so we packed up & left to get the first train home. While packing we found the travel kettle we had with us had been flattened, that's how much crush was on me. safe to say I've never gone again and still have panic attacks to this day

I worked at Warriors Dance Festival in Milton Keynes in 2010. Was bucket collecting for Teenage Cancer Trust, so went around the whole place and all acts, which was super cool. Was at Frank Carter's stage and not only did he sorta give me a look of disgust, I went round the crowd during a break and someone came back to his friend holding his nose while I was speaking to her... then brought down his hand... holding his septum barbel with part of his nose still attached. He just had this look of disbelief and shock. Brilliant festival though.n

came back to our tent having a 17yo burning a plastic chair to keep himself warm. he was clearly unwell and he had to explain to him why inhaling plastic fumes was not a good idea while taking him to the first aid tent. still baffled to this day. stunk of burnt plastic the whole weekend lol

Similar to poo girl but it was a guy rescuing a phone dropped by a girl in the eco loos at boomtown 2015, on the second night. He was pretty covered in it on his head and shoulders and puking ,as you would and the smell hit us in the queue which started us all off 🤢🤮

i went to carfest north, which is a family friendly/ centred festival, four times between 2014-2017. when we were there in 2015 (when i was 14), one of the planes that was part of a display started going down over the wooded area across from where we were sat track side. it crashed roughly a mile off site to the east of where we were sat with a giant black cloud of smoke promptly following (bc of the fuel). never heard a festival go so quiet so quick in my life. safe to say the pilot died and in the remaining times we went, including the next day (next day being sunday, as we were usually there for the whole weekend & this happened on the saturday), there was never another plane show, and i’m not totally sure there has been another in the time the festivals still been running.

We were sitting around the tent and it was like… 1-2am??? The tent next to us had been empty all weekend. The final night, two older teens crawled into the tent, did the hokey pokey, crawled back out like 10 mins later and left. To this day idk if I’m shocked or Amazed because HOW did you know that tent was empty 😭 we had been there for 4 days waiting for our tent neighbours 😭🤷♀️🤷♀️
