I am a first-year college student at TAU, and I was on my way home to Tarlac City when I noticed an elderly man repeatedly trying to get me to look at the phone number displayed on his phone. Before that, I had already noticed him looking at me through the reflection of the bus window. At first, I ignored it because I wanted to rest during the trip. However, over the next 20–30 minutes, he continued showing the same phone number in my direction several times, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Later, he answered a phone call and spoke loudly. I don't know if it was related to me, but I was already feeling uneasy because of what had happened earlier. When we arrived in Tarlac City, I noticed him displaying the same phone number again. Fortunately, another passenger sat beside me, and the situation ended there. I'm sharing this experience not to accuse anyone of a crime, but to remind everyone—especially students and women traveling alone to stay alert, trust your instincts, and prioritize your safety. If something makes you feel uncomfortable, don't hesitate to move seats, ask for help, or inform the bus staff. Please keep the comments respectful.
