People often invest because everyone else appears to be making money. They hear about an opportunity from a friend. They see screenshots online. They are promised quick returns. Then fear of missing out replaces proper thinking. But excitement is not research. Popularity is not proof. And someone else’s profit does not guarantee yours. Before putting money into anything, you should understand: How does it make money? What could cause it to lose value? Who controls it? How easily can you exit? What fees are involved? What happens in the worst possible scenario? You do not need to understand every technical detail. But if you cannot explain in simple language how the investment works, you may be gambling, not investing. Missing an opportunity hurts less than losing money you never properly understood.
