He’s not guilty, it’s clearly labeled not for consumption, the person ignored the warning on top of committing theft. Laxatives are not illegal to purchase or own or use. He did nothing illegal technically

Could be off the hook for criminal charges, but depending on the insurance coverage for the hospital visit could potentially be on the hook for civil charges. causing financial damages can get ya sued for cash and it’d likely get settled out of court given the person who laced the food with laxatives DID in fact do it

hes not in the wrong though. its not booby trapped. if he didnt write anything then hes guilty of a few things. its clearly labelled as poison. you cant go into someones cupboard and grab rat poison, poison yourself and sue them

Not only that but given that it was labeled as poison removes the possibility that the culprit didn’t know what was in it. They have zero leg to stand on from even the most basic legal standpoint

Actually, it’s only a booby trap if there isn’t a warning about it… so putting poison do not eat on the bag and then actually poisoning it isn’t a crime… it’s assumed risk 😁😁😁

Well I think it boils down to what the "poison" was, laxatives aren't poison, they're technically medicine, thus the person could claim they were using them for their intended purpose and had taken steps to warn others about it
