@that.tired.dad: One thing no one really talks about when you become a dad is how hard it can be when Mum leaves the house. You know they’re safe. You know they’ll be okay. But none of that matters to them. They just want Mum. So you spend the next hour or two trying everything. Snacks, toys, Bluey, cuddles, carrying one while the other cries and somehow they’re both still upset. And all you can do is ride it out. It’s exhausting. It’s frustrating. You start questioning whether you’re doing enough, even though deep down you know this is just what kids do and you’re just counting down the minutes until Mum gets home.
