I use the actual vodka bottle because mason jars can be bumped just right and then you're out your whole jar some of the vodka bottles can survive a lot

I have vodka vanilla, but I also have bourbon and rum. I have been using the same bases for years. And you are correct, Slo food group is the best place to get your beans and any other spices you might need.

I would like to know more about the mother jar system for instance, like if you're using that as a mother jar and pouring that into a smaller container, which that's what I'm assuming. then would you be adding more beans and more vodka to the mother jar or just alcohol and not adding more beans?
