I turned to god because I have to believe there’s a heaven that holds my 2 best friends, my old boyfriend, my step mom, my brother, and my grandpa. I have to hope and believe I’ll see them again one day as long as I live my life here as kind, and as good of a person as I can. He provides comfort in times when the darkness is too thick.

That’s not always the case. You get people that become Christians because they believe that there is A God and saviour. Yes you would get people at times that may have done something horrible and want to turn to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. It’s not a bad thing however people turn to him. He loves every single one of us even those who don’t believe or don’t want to. He gives us our own free will if we want to live a life for him or not x

my father wasn't a religious man but every time he landed himself in jail he would suddenly become a devout follower of christ, then the moment he was out of jail it he went back to petty crimes and hard drugs

Sadly I became religious because I got sick, and I got told that god could heal me. So little 9 year old me was in front of the church begging, crying, and worshipping him for a miracle. Then being told that I didn’t have enough faith and that my kidney disease was because I was a sinner. I was 27 when my eyes finally opened and I left
