try and also stand on the ball of your foot with your back foot before you pop.. whenever i pop my ollies i make sure the centre of the tail it’s the ground. less toes hits the ground the quicker the board hits the ground and the quicker it leaves the earth. hope this helps

Everyone learns differently. My advice would be to just practice stationary until your form and technique becomes second nature, but only because that's how i learnt because once youre moving you dont need to think about anything because you already pretty much set the foundation. I ended up having the highest floating Ollies in our skate crew and I was the last one to start learning how to skate out of all of us

it's about learning that you can push backwards with your back foot as far as you want and it won't go flying because your front foot is in control when you're in the air.

I was never great at skating and haven’t skated for years but I remember practicing rolling Ollie’s from concrete onto grass. Then that’d make me feel loads more confident on concrete!

belly button should always be in the middle of the board. sounds weird but always be centred

I feel like for ollies you can do it stationary, I guess because thats how I learned it first, you can do what makes you confident and comfortable to learn
