In this movie I’m pretty sure the spider sense is still stronger. For starters peter has to be focused for his spider sense to work, thats why when he’s not focused he actually can’t sense Jean. Now both Peter & Jean get stronger in the movie but when Jean initially gets her strength boost she takes control of everyone except for peter. Now maybe she wanted the hand to fight peter or just didn’t try taking over peter I’m not exactly sure but its worth mentioning. And as for the end she used telekinesis to hold him in place, she didn’t possess him because if she did she would’ve seen the memories instantly like with Frank. For when she finally did possess peter, he let her & was in control of his head space & then proceeds to jump out of it for the bullet. I could see the arguments for both sides but from what I remember Jean seemed surprised the whole time & it felt like peter was able to control his mind to a point where he instantly jumped out. I’d personally say peter as of now can keep her out of his mind, I think at one point Bruce did this too before the Hulk appeared. It just makes sense a way stronger Spider-Man can keep a way stronger Jean Gray out of his mind when he could do it before.

Like you said, the spider sense is a defence mechanism. Peter wasn't expecting the first time that's why she got pushed out. Peter let her in the 2nd time which didn't pose as a "threat"

I just say it's because he gave her permission she was let in, but he did stop being able to sense her at some point so it could either be spider sense is still going through a sort of change that isn't done yet or she was slowly getting stronger as the movie went on

He literally said Go ahead, he was showing no resistance, but I do agree Jean is above spider man, but you cannot deny that he literally showed no resistance meaning he let her in.

Spider-Man cannot fully turn off or control his spider-sense like a switch, because it is an automatic, passive, and instinctive sixth sense. But, he can train himself to trust, interpret, or override its physical reflexes depending on his mental state. that why she can enter after he finally let her.

correct me if i’m wrong but doesn’t spider-sense work off something being dangerous? Since peter allowed her in he must’ve dubbed it safe, allowing her to enter without the spider sense intervening, thus kinda making this wrong?

Spider Man literally let her in the second the time because he didn’t register her as a threat, there wasn’t any resistance, similar how in media when peter binds with venom the symbiote doesn’t trigger his spider sense when outside of peter and not only that you can see in comics that his spider sense doesn’t trigger all the time like in the ultimate series when kraven shot peter in the stomach it did nothing because kraven was aiming for peter’s friend harry- more over his spider sense then TRIGGERS while they’re in the mind scape when punisher shoots JEAN, and by NO means is spider man beating a high level telepath with telekinesis without a struggle yall are just bias but spider-sense doesn’t work like yall think it does peter CAN turn it off with enough control and it can be bypassed

Idk why people are disagreeing. With or without Phoenix force, Jean is more powerful than any hero. Street level, town level, universal level, multiversal level 😭 she’s literally omega level.
