I love reading and sometimes I can NOT put that book down so I read every chance I get even if it’s in public and I’ve had my friends tell me I’m performative when they know damn well I read almost every second.

its a weird world where staring at your phone in public is normal and acceptable but reading - i dont know... Going out for lunch and sitting on the patio with a book is hard to beat

The only reason I stopped reading in public because i get pissed if I get to a good part and have to stop. Then my whole day ruined until I can continue reading 😂😂😂 so for my mental health, I wait until I can read uninterrupted lol

I actually mostly read outside… Usually on my commute to work, because I always think, “I have an hour where I have nothing to do. I might as well read something.” I like reading in the park too. Didn’t know people thought it was performative. Oh well. 🤷🏽♀️
