My family owned the gift shop and kite store on second floor just outside the elevator, the birds in aviary were parrots not peacocks and my neighbors owned them and let the mall exhibit them there. It used to be a great mall until 90’s when it started to fail.

I remember when monkeywards closed but we always went to countryside mall not too far from there. I don’t ever remember going to Clearwater mall until they rebuilt. Countyside mall had everything I could need: an arcade, ice skating, movie theater, shopping and food. That’s where the kids I knew were on Saturdays.

Remember when Pinellas Park mall at the ice-skating rink in the middle of it that was awesome. It was two stories. I hate they took that down.

In the late 70's-early 80's my mother worked at the Howard Johnson's next to the Orange Julius. I spent many weekends at the arcade around the corner. I can't remember the name but the door was round & looked like a barrel, I think. 🤣

This is Clearwater Mall, No peacocks were there, they had the dolphin decor, spent lot of time there as a kid, never saw any peacocks anywhere

The peacocks reside in a neighborhood off of Belcher. They have many babies now. Having to stop traffic to allow them to cross the road on many occasions...not fun.
