Being charged and being convicted are two VERY different things. They charge and detain ANYONE who kills someone until they get all the facts of the case and see if the prosecution wants to drop the charges. This is clickbait. The truth is, none of you "KNOW" what you would do unless you were in that situation. When fight or flight mode takes over, you dont know what will happen in your brain. some people over react, some become paralyzed. She already killed his baby and that alone would cause a person to over react. It wasn't his fault unless his story wasn't matching up with the kids and there was reason to suspect he was lying.

It’s Adrenalin and panic. In situations like this, humans have different ways to deal with stuff like this under pressure. His was panic and shot those shots to protect those kids. He didn’t mean to kill her, he panicked under pressure which caused her death.
