My My ancestors hail from Ogbelaka in Benin City, and some of my forefathers were instrumental in establishing Okeluhen in present-day Ondo State. Historically, the majority of Ondo was inhabited by the Edo people, who originally spoke the Edo language before Yoruba influence. The original name of Ondo was Evban Nudo, which has since evolved into its current form.
