We don’t practice religion anymore, but there’s something about Easter that still stays with me. Maybe it’s the symbolism. The reminder that you can move through something hard… and come out different. Softer. Stronger. More yourself. Leaving Mormonism came with a lot of layers. Some beautiful, some painful, some we’re still unpacking. But one thing I’ve learned is that you don’t have to throw everything away to move forward.
