for everyone using the defense of 'well she was just chubby, 70s fat.' that's understandable, but consider: if you make carrie skinny, the pig's blood loses all context (other than the period). it's an animal's blood. but if you make her big in the context of today's culture and how we think about weight, it allows it to have even more of an impact. more people will understand the extra layer of context
