@mouiz_021: The deep ocean is one of the greatest mysteries on our planet. 🌊 More than 80% of Earth's oceans remain unexplored and unmapped, meaning we know surprisingly little about what lies beneath the waves. In fact, scientists have mapped the surface of Mars in greater detail than much of Earth's own seafloor. Every year, researchers discover thousands of new marine species, from glowing jellyfish and strange deep-sea fish to previously unknown corals and microscopic organisms. The deepest parts of the ocean are under such immense pressure that they remain incredibly difficult to explore, even with modern technology. The ocean covers about 71% of Earth's surface, helps regulate the global climate, and produces roughly half of the oxygen we breathe through tiny marine organisms called phytoplankton.
