Okay so this isn’t fucking true at all and makes waiters look worse than they already do in the current tipping culture. Allergies are taken extremely seriously no matter who is at the table. This is the kind of thing that makes restaurants lose business and the kitchen specifically accommodates for allergies with separate grills cook stations and everything for allergies.

in south Africa it's customary to tip 10% so it's strange to see the percentages here. I know that in America waiters don't get paid enough and need the tips to make up for it, which sucks. but it's funny that the customary tip in south Africa would be seen as rude in America
