Gentle fyi, you can call 911 from a balcony to relay sighting information that will be radio'd to rescue crews. This is the entire reason for watch towers.

Never try to swim straight to shore. Always swim parallel to shore to escape a rip current/undertow.

Never take your eyes off the victim. Put your phone to better use than taking video….. call in and tell them you see her and give them directions to her. It’s pretty simple. Content isn’t important saving someone’s life is. If that was your child I bet you would have called in pretty quick.
