we raise our own replacements and come to northeast ohio and show me where there is enough pasture to graze all the cows for the few months that you can because of the weather around here

A hundred percent agree the farm's back in the seventies, eighties, and even early nineties used to do this, used to raise their own stock, at least the first first milking heffers, and it was healthy.And it was pastured, and they were strong herds that produced crazy good healthy milk.

My dad hauled milk for a farmer for 20 years. I always thought the farmer was a genius cause he had three different farms all around the same county. One was dairy opp, one was a Heffer pasture and one was a steer pasture. Kept them al seperate and ran them as individual businesses but all supported each other. Farmers are the smartest of us
