@crunchy_memaw: I put that **** on everything! This is NOT Cowboy Candy. Those are softened peppers in a sweet syrup. These Jalapeños are Crispy & Candied and can dress up any sandwich, salad, cheesy dish or just pop em like chips if you can stand the heat🔥😉 Crispy Candied Jalapeños: 8-10 jalapeños 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 Tbsp garlic powder 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp salt 1. Preheat oven to 250F and cover cookie sheet with parchment paper (Spray w/olive oil) 2. Slice jalapeños and lay flat on paper towel to dry (1 hr minimum) 3. Mix remaining ingredients in medium bowl and stir w/fork 4. Pour jalapeño slices in sugar mixture and stir until all peppers are well coated 5. Spoon jalapeños onto cookie sheet spreading them out flat 6. Bake low and slow (trying to work the moisture out of the peppers w/o burning them). Start checking readiness at 1 hour. Usually takes about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs depending on thickness of peppers. 7. Let cool completely. The sugars will harden as it cools. Trust the process. 8. You can store on the countertop for a week in an airtight container or in the fridge for longer. Use as topper on anything, but I highly recommend em on a Cheeseburger!
