@100proofflowfitness: Generation X was raised on action heroes and superheroes. We watched people face impossible odds, get knocked down, get back up, and keep moving forward. At the same time, our parents gave us a level of freedom and independence that would shock a lot of people today. We were trusted to figure things out, solve problems, and make it home before the streetlights came on. Maybe that’s why so many of us grew up believing there had to be something special inside us. Not because we were told we were superheroes—but because life expected us to become them. That’s why I still train the way I do. Not to impress anyone. Not to relive the past.
