I have a theory after watching The Walten Files: Faces of Grief.
I don't think Jack and Bon are the same person. I think Bon has two souls inside him: the real Jack Walten and the evil entity known as Bon.
Here are my reasons:
- Throughout the episode, Jack is shown as a loving husband and father. He clearly loves Rosemary, Sophie, Edd, and Molly. It doesn't make sense to me that he would suddenly murder his own wife.
- During Rosemary's death scene, Bon's behavior changes dramatically. At first, he comforts Rosemary, hugs her, and tells her everything will be okay. Then his personality completely changes, and he becomes violent. It feels like Jack loses control and Bon takes over.
- I also noticed that Bon's eyes seem different in some scenes—sometimes they look more human, and other times more robotic. Maybe this represents who is in control.
- In the rabbit story, we first see the kind rabbit leading Rosemary, but then the tall white figure appears and takes her away. To me, that looks like two different beings.
- Right before Rosemary dies, the Edd and Molly plush is turned away. If that was really Jack, maybe he didn't want his children to witness their mother's death.
I know another popular theory says Bon was pretending to be Jack the whole time, but I honestly hope that's not true. I think it would ruin the emotional impact of Jack and Rosemary's relationship.
So my theory is that Jack is trapped inside Bon, watching everything happen but unable to stop the evil entity from taking control.
What do you think?
