Honestly I always felt bad for Azula. She was used as a pawn in her own father’s game of war. He never loved her, he loved her power and talent. She was completely over looked as a girl, as a human being. Her mom saw how that power took over her bc it was the only thing her father praised so she thought she was making them proud. Her mom was scared bc she didn’t know how she could help azula, except all she really needed was love. But then again I think people just found it hard to love her bc of her aggression. But then again who set that system up? there was no way for her to get out like zuko, she was too deep in. Her dynamic of relationships with her friends and family, truly shows how a neglected child can act out in life.

I could never see her as a villain, she was a 14yr old girl who never got to experience healthy love

She’s not for me to understand, I think she’s for a different archetype of people, but I empathize deeply with her

There's a book about ATLA food and it said Azula has a sweet tooth it just shows shes still a child and it also shows to me that since she was a rich kid I can only assume she had strict diets so of course she'd grow to like sweet things 😭💔

she was a product of her environment. i have to say that azula was the character i felt the most attachment to. i felt her frustration, her quiet cry for love and acceptance, i understood what it meant to constantly be searching for approval and always coming up short. she needed her mother but her father made her something her mother couldn’t love or understand and unfortunately it only pushed them further apart. i feel for azula because she’s the only one who actually understands why i am the way i am.. a product of my environment.

Everyone thought it'd be an epic showdown, cool battle, & we'd be happy when Zuko & Katara won. But then the creators reminded us, Azula was just a kid, too.

her character deserved so much more, she was used as a war weapon instead of seen as a daughter and a child. my heart will forever be with Azula, she was also a victim ❤️🩹
