We saw Jason Aldean years back at Bud Stage in Toronto. Cole Swindell was the opener. Cole was great. Jason was hands down the worst concert we have ever been to. Boring and overrated.

I don’t like Jason Aldean but I surprisingly agree with him. I’m not going to spend money on a concert for a brand new artist that has one maybe two albums with a couple of hits. I’m not gonna sit through 2 hours of mostly covers. Newer artists I’d rather see as an opener for an established artist

I actually think it could hurt their career in the long run. A lot of it is about momentum, but if an artist can’t sustain that energy for a full headline set, the audience can end up leaving feeling underwhelmed. That’s not good for the fans or the artist. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being an opener. That’s what those slots are for: building momentum, winning over new fans, and getting people excited to come back. Then, when you eventually headline, you’ve built that relationship with your audience and can deliver a show they’re genuinely excited about from start to finish. I love seeing artists as openers, then watching them come back a few years later as headliners. It feels earned, and the crowd is usually so much more invested because they’ve grown together.

it because these are tiktok made famous over 2 songs so they become more popular faster with or without original music. example B Zimmerman. social media platforms play a huge roll. Luke Combs social media on vine. that's my take on it
