@petelynch4ky: On July 30, I spoke at the Planning Commission’s public hearing on the zoning ordinance text amendment currently being considered in Lexington, KY. During my 3 minutes, I advocated for a national moratorium on AI data centers and offered five zoning regulations that, taken together, would block all data center development. As expected, neither my Republican opponent (Ralph Alvarado) nor my Democratic opponent (Zach Dembo) showed up to speak out against AI data center development. They haven’t shown up to any local events related to data centers. Unsurprisingly, Alvarado and Dembo are also going to be no-shows at the state of Kentucky’s first-ever candidate forum on AI data centers, which has 8 confirmed candidates who will speak—including candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. The candidate forum is tomorrow (Sunday, August 2) from 6-8pm at Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg, KY. #datacenter #politics #kentucky #lexingtonky #ky06

In most cases it doesn't matter what the people want, it's what the paid off politicians want that matters

Been using data centers for 20 yrs… do you really think there’s a magic cloud up there? Or should we let china with their big giga center have the power to shut our grid down

It would be nice if we actually had a choice in the matter 😂. Every day we are moving closer and closer towards an AI controlled state. Hell theres already 200+ flock cameras all around the Lexington area tracking your every move. Feels like I’m in China every time I take a step outside.
