Kali :
One of Satan's most subtle distractions isn't getting us to stop attending conventions. It's getting us to attend with the spotlight shifted ever so slightly. We may still be in our seats, singing the songs, taking notes, and enjoying the association, but if our thoughts become consumed with how we look, who notices us, or what others think of our appearance, then something sacred has quietly been replaced. The greatest danger isn't dressing beautifully. It's spending more time preparing our image than preparing our heart. True beauty has never been found in elaborate fashion, but in humility, modesty, and the quiet spirit that reflects Jehovah's own qualities. Simple beauty has a way of directing attention to the Creator rather than the creation. Every convention, assembly, meeting.. asks a silent question that only Jehovah can hear the answer to: 'Who am I hoping will be impressed today?' If the answer is anyone other than Jehovah, then the spotlight has quietly moved from the One who deserves all glory to the one sitting in the chair. No outfit, no matter how elegant, should ever become more memorable than the spiritual feast Jehovah has lovingly prepared for us.
