I have one of these. the back of it is very thin, paper thin metal. whatever temperature you are using in the oven is the temperature that the back of this air fryer heats up to. if you are cooking at 400 degrees then the back of your fryer heats up to 400°. I had to put a special insulation on the back to keep it from burning my wall. and the buttons on the front get incredibly hot. sometimes I have to use a cloth to press the buttons so that it does not burn my fingers.

hot hot! the back of this machine gets up to about 400° and I know because I have a thermal temperature gauge. I had to insulate the back of mine to keep it from scorching my wall. don't get me wrong - I love my air fryer but it is very hot
