@brookebodey: I genuinely believe that if it wasn’t for hot yoga, I wouldn’t have been able to get through natural childbirth without an epidural. 🤎 Which if I can add was the absolute best decision of my life for my third baby because I didn’t tear as I could actually feel myself pushing and it made my recovery so wonderful! The breathwork, the mental discipline, learning to stay calm through discomfort, and trusting my body completely changed the way I approached labor. It didn’t make it easy, but it made me feel capable. I’ll forever be grateful for this practice and the way it’s changed my mind, body, and heart during pregnancy and postpartum 🤍 It’s truly taught me I can do anything just like labor/ and natural child birth did. #hotyoga #naturalbirth #postpartumbody #postpartumrecovery #laboranddelivery

I remember pushing (1st time mom) and when they made me count to 10 for every push I was like “this is like fucking Pilates 🤣” or a solidcore class

AGREED 100% unmedicated labor for my 1st, going for my 2nd, hot yoga 5-6X/week each time. 🔥

I’ve practiced my entire pregnancy and hoping it gets me through an unmedicated birth too!

I had a natural childbirth and now I can go in the sauna and cold plunge for crazy lengths of time and really just handle anything physically

i agree with yoga completely for an unmedicated labor but i thought the general recommendation is to not do hot yoga bc increasing your core body temp is not safe for baby ☹️

I love hot yoga 🤩 I’m at once a week rn (105 F 60% humidity) with a few heated sculpt classes a week (80 degrees 30% humidity) and it’s changed the game mentally for me

I’m with ya!! I did natural with no epi for my 2nd baby and phewww what a difference! The nurses told me I should teach a class on how to labor and deliver a baby 🤣 I meditated almost the entire time - all thanks to my (not hot) yoga/meditation practice!

Been doing hot yoga for years, and once I got pregnant, everyone told me to stop because the heat isn’t good for the baby or me. I’m 6 mos pregnant now, and I feel like it’s probably too late to get back into it 😔😫
