Her being accepted into the X-Family gave her a chance for redemption and to "be better." . She had to earn her place amongst her enemies and her particular brand of leadership shines best when, during "Civil War", the X-Men sent her to tell Tony Stark that, once again, Mutants refuse to be pro-registration.
