2 is kind of tough if the partner is being bad to you in front of them. You don’t want to normalize that for your kid. Theres definitely an element of taking it too far, but I would imagine it’s tough. I’m not divorced, but if it’s a high conflict divorce … that would be hard I think

Yesssss to all of this! As a divorced mother this year, I am very intentional to not do these things! Another thing I’ve had to learn is my trauma is NOT her trauma. She is a child and should be able to be a child. My child is not broken just because her parents are divorced.
