Back then, if you asked a Greek why the ocean was raging, they would tell you a literal god was angry, because they didn't understand fluid dynamics, meteorology, or plate tectonics. Religion has a 100% track record of losing ground to science. Every single natural phenomenon that was once attributed to a god’s willpowerfrom infectious diseases to solar eclipses and the water cycle is now perfectly explained by physics, chemistry, and biology.When you use God to explain the origin of the universe, you are just doing a modern version of the exact same thing: using a supernatural label to replace a temporary gap in human knowledge. It is a logical fallacy called "God of the Gaps." Your god’s domain keeps shrinking every time physicists unlock a new equation. If your only proof of a creator is the stuff science hasn't fully mapped out yet, then your god is nothing more than a placeholder for human ignorance. History proves that yesterday's magic is just today's science, and the Big Bang doesn't need a cosmic father figure any more than a thunderstorm needs a guy throwing lightning bolts from a cloud.
