leave the family to sort out things, a picture paints a thousand words, so no one in this comments knows exactly what's happening, so is good not to jump to conclusions.

She is an adult. May she find the strength to lead the life she chooses!

after reading some reports, it's not just sus. her parents are control freaks. that's why she did what she did. she left a letter, but the parents withheld it from police. she cut off contact specifically because of their control. I fully understand why she did this.

people who are control freaks can cause younger generations to do funny things. this is a mismatch of eras where one wants everything under control while the other is rebellious

I'm 30 and my mom still control me (Yes shocking) BUT in a way I can still find my subtle path to what I desire to do in life. What Im trying to say is just do what you can in SG first before you have the chance to walk your own road

is it possible that because she is over 18 , u cant bring her back with normal police routine so her parents reported her “missing” making it seems like a scam etc so that police will bring her back regardless of her age?

People from different countries may see this differently. Legally she's an adult, but in Singapore and many Asian families, it's normal for a 20-year-old to still live with their parents and have close family involvement, especially in making a major decision. That doesn't automatically mean the family is abusive or controlling.

Yes I seen cases like this before. Parents are strict n restrictive to the girls but let the sons roam wild and free. Control the girls dressing, curfew, friends… etc etc…

Feels like she wants to go there for a holiday but her parents don't allow and as a kid that age she just went ahead. Then the parents freak out.

Seems like a lot of ‘detectives’ on social media who rather scrutinise other people’s life rather than examining their own🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
