My husband and I went to Scotland for our honeymoon. It was always my parents dream to go for their 40th anniversary but my dad was diagnosed with early onset dementia and they could never go. It breaks my heart.

I worked overtime to save and take my mom to Venice. She had been talking about Venice my entire life. If you can work and save, take your parents to see their favourite places. For us Egypt is next.

My mom passed when I was 19. I don’t think she ever got to see much of the world. I wear her ashes in a necklace and I bring it with me everywhere I travel. I just took her to Portugal and Italy for the first time. I like to think I’m seeing it for both of us ❤️
