Al Capone wore that brim like that because he wanted a mysterious look. He also wore white with black or blue band because he was the "Boss" he didn't allow anybody else wear their fedora that way in his organization. How do I know this? My great grandfather was killed by Capone because he was part of the Genovese crime family in New York, and had the New England territory for prohibition, and Capone had him killed to take over that territory. Which he did.
