you are giving waaay too much credit to a degree. as a hiring Mgr I interviewed hundreds of devs and the ones with the lease experience and knowledge came from school. I know someone who just graduated in 2025 and her teacher directly told her AI was a waste of time. also they are still learning Java and not python or any other useful lang.
