Not a single one of these people zipped up body bags during the pandemic. Not one of them have to live with the moral injury of doing everything you can and still seeing so much death every day. Watching loved ones say goodbye on iPads and iPhones and through glass. The fear of showing up for work and wondering if you were going to get sick. The demonization of Dr. Fauci is so much deeper than politics. It’s forcing those who work in healthcare to reopen wounds that haven’t been able to truly heal. I will always stand with Dr. Fauci for his tireless work to save lives and protect healthcare workers.
