@vivi.reviews7: One of the biggest mistakes I made as a creator had nothing to do with the algorithm. It was me. When I started as a TikTok Shop affiliate, I approached it like I was trying to become an influencer. I thought people had to connect with me. I thought I had to be the reason someone watched. My content struggled for a long time because I was trying to make myself the main character. Then something shifted. I realized my job wasn’t to be the story. My job was to tell the story of the product. Sometimes I’m part of that story because of my experience with it. Sometimes I’m just the guide introducing it to someone else. Either way, the spotlight doesn’t have to stay on me. Oddly enough, that’s when my content started performing better. It made me wonder how often we blame the platform, the algorithm, or bad luck when the real obstacle is something much closer. Sometimes it’s our ego. Sometimes it’s our pride. Sometimes growth requires us to let go of the version of success we imagined so we can embrace the one that’s actually in front of us. That lesson has changed far more than my content.
