I work in ICU, one day I got floated to med/surg. To this day, that is the ONLY shift where I almost walked out mid shift and wanted to say screw it all. I truly admire those who do it long term! It is a different type of hard that I'm not built for!

Medsurge is HELL. I spent 13 years in ems, lost my mind and decided to go in hospital (as a tech) to see if that would help. TURNED DOWN THE ER because I thought “it’s too close to the trucks, medsurge will be easier” medsurge was in fact not easier. That floor killed the miniscule sanity I had left.
