Why are people reading so far into this😭. MJ and Ned always remembered things associated with Peter but not Peter himself. It’s why MJ has the necklace and why she thinks parts of her life are missing. It’s why Ned still keeps the legos they built together. Him remembering the handshake is something he isn’t gonna forget, but he will forget who he used to do it with. Jean Grey also says there’s literally nothing in MJ’s mind of Peter, so how could she bring anything back. And you can’t just assume she’s lying, cus there’s no evidence of her lying. The ending scene is simply Ned realizing that Spider-Man is Peter Parker, because earlier in the film MJ straight up calls him Peter and Ned acknowledges that

The spell erased Peter, it didn’t lock the memories because beat defeats the purpose of said spell. It makes no sense that they can remember Peter. At the end of NWH Peter went tot he cafe not to jog mj and Ned memory but to introduce himself to them. Also Peter and Bruce have 0 interactions. The only time we see them in the same room that isn’t a fight is at Tony’s funeral and they don’t talk there

i dont think it broke DS spell but more like replace everyone with her own psychic memories when she went in Spiderman head so through her everyone see Peter memory, not necessary remember but see it

With Hulk, it could just be the fact that just saying that he’s a friend and trying to connect with Hulk made him calm down, and with Ned it could be that Ned connects this individual who says he’s Peter with Spider-Man since MJ called out to Spider-Man as Peter so when Ned says Peter he means that it’s Spider-Man. also previously when Jean possessed MJ she said there was nothing in her mind of Peter Nothing at all complete blank you could argue the fact after she unlocked her full potential she was able to do that but that’s kind of shaky at best as a theory and it’s kind of strange if that was her ability to do that . Also isn’t the spell erased everyone’s memory of Spider-Man is Peter Parker not that it locked away that memory for everyone

This is what I was thinking when you can see mj tearing up as she was being mind controlled with jeans evolved powers, they were remembering things and probably forgot but part of it stayed breaking part of the spell which is why Ned didn’t know instantly know Peter first but remembered the handshake
