Soooooo… your advise is also for people to take heart medication and then randomly stop - and expect no consequences 🙄

Why would you go off them? I worked with an obesity doctor and lost 115 lbs. No insurance coverage and I still plan to pay for them for the rest of my life if needed. They’ve done so much more for me than weight loss - helped immensely with joint pain, got my pcos symptoms under control, and may have put my Crohn’s disease into remission. Seems like a dietician should be helping people with meals, not bashing people who take a medicine.

GLP1s are just a tool. The tool means nothing if you don’t change your habits.

It made me sick, it was impossible to get enough protein and fiber in on the lowest dose. Used it for three months and stopped. I have the scaffolding in place though. Totally agree with you.

I’m 46 and so many of my peers are on it. A lot of them couldn’t lose weight because honestly, they can’t put the bottle down and refuse to learn how to regularly move their bodies.

Zepbound has helped me lose 50 pounds so far, however I also eat in a calorie deficit, eat mostly Whole Foods and exercise 4 days a week with weights and strength training. I have always been heavier BUT I have always eaten very well and healthy. My biggest issue was portion control. This medication has helped me realize what portion sizes should be, but have also given me tools to stop eating when full.

I think theybare a great tool. but youre correct in everything you said. and tbh they dint work for everyone. especially if you have several other comorbidities. I take it primarily to control my diabetes. but also overhauled my life style to do that as well. weight is just a struggle to come off quickly. losing half pound to a pound a week tho.

I have been on it since last January and have lost about 75 lbs. I haven't really had to change anything, as I would already count every calorie, go to the gym and lift 5 or 6 days a week, and basically do everything right, and still be 225 lbs, high cholesterol, and almost prediabetic. I have just reached my goal of 150 lbs and I am absolutely terrified of stopping and gaining back. I do everything I should and try so hard to be healthy, and without the help of the meds, I literally could not do it.

The GLP-1 was a huge game changer for me!!! I did every diet, tried meds, looked at surgery. Nothing helped! I’m never going off my GLP-1! It gave me control and took away the food noise..finally!

Everyone knows this. Fat people know everything you’re saying. And yet… still fat. Most people won’t change their habits. But it’s better than all the health problems of being severly overweight

Be careful! Can cause gallbladder infections and pancreatitis. Excruciating pain. Plus, brain fog and other issues.
