You can buy disposable cooling face towelettes and face sprays at 7-11, pharmacies, etc. they're everywhere in Japan! And make sure you're drinking electrolytes like Pocari sweat so you don't get muscle cramps!

The little black cupboard thing is normally either a pull out desk or a surface to iron your clothes on. The stool and the accessories there are because you have a wet room - it's so that you can scrub yourself down to be clean before you relax in your nice deep bath! Enjoy!!!
