This is absolutely the best horsemanship I’ve seen in a long time. You kept your cool and didn’t reprimand him for being unsure or hesitant. You gave him the opportunity to look at it and assess it then praised him for going over. I wish nothing but the best for both of you!!

Good riding. But, I’m going to be devils advocate here, and mention my opinion is that cross country is getting more and more dangerous, questioning, what it’s really testing. That horse has heart, that’s for sure, but i’m on the horse’s side on this one. I read a lot of Denny Emerson, he has concerns about the state of cross country. Just throwing the perspective in the ring. Stay safe ❤️
