The drowning child one is the only one that's nonsense. At least for me. I don't donate because I have zero faith any money goes to the actual cause. It goes to salaries, CEO bonus's etc. Very little of the money you donate ends up being used for that cause. Same for homeless people, no faith it will be used for genuine things and not drink or drugs. This scenario you know exactly the outcome and the cost.
