i actually heard this misconception AGAIN the other day which inspired me to make this post… it makes me sad that still some women hesitate to lift weights in fear of getting ‘too bulky’. do NOT be afraid of strength training !!! i have been lifting now for over a decade and there was never a point in my training where i bulked up (as this was never my goal). i also never implemented cardio into my routine until a few months ago- before this year, i was strictly strength training (progressive overload) since i started working out if you’re strength training and maintaining a balanced diet, you are way more likely to develop a ‘toned physique’, which is/has been the most common goal amongst any client i’ve worked with. on the other hand, if gaining significant muscle mass IS your ultimate goal, you can 1000% reach this if you’re consistently in a caloric surplus (consuming more calories than you burn). muscles need a lot of FOOD to grow !!! strength training is an amazing way to increase lean muscle, boost your metabolism, and improve your OVERALL health. think about how you want to feel in your future- lifting everyday objects without breaking your back, going for walks/hikes without knee pain, able to keep up with kids/grandkids without getting exhausted etc. weights are your friend 🥹🤝🏼 alphalete lina bra + dip back short in cerulean / dc: mazul 🦋 training & nutrition plans available on michellemazul.com 🤍 . #strengthtraining #fatloss #healthtransformation #gluteworkout #gluteday #fitnessmotivation #alphalete #workouttips #beforeandafter #GymTok #FitTok
