I stopped wearing my Apple Watch 7 months ago and haven’t once considered putting it back on since. There’s absolutely nothing inherently wrong with wearing a fitness watch, but I’m happier without mine! Having a “health-tracking” device practically glued to my body at all times never felt right to me and was always more of a tool for control than awareness. Even though I didn’t think the data mattered to me as much at some times as it did at others, I was still conscious of it, and it definitely affected my behaviors — more for the worse than the better. I would always take it off at social events because I thought it looked so ugly on my wrist lol, but I’d put it right back on afterward so it could track how much I moved. I felt like my behaviors didn’t “count” in the same way if they weren’t captured by my watch, and I felt anxious when I didn’t wear it. It truly added no additional value to my life… but that’s just my experience :) @DFYNE Code ‘sky’ (if you feel like it <3)
