AnMed in Anderson, SC had been under cyberattack and everything had to be done on paper when I had a procedure this week. They are holding it for ransom. They were using old school prescription pads.

The DOD pharmacies are still not fully electronic yet. Depending on which pharmacy I go to, I still have together paper scripts at times.

I work in provider operation management, so I travel from providers office all over the US and you’d be SHOCKED at how many provider officers have no technology whatsoever… and not even in rural areas.

My PCP and psychiatrist both do electronically. But my urgent care mostly uses paper scripts still.

I thought it was by law that all medical professionals must call in prescriptions electronically because of patients abusing the rx, I worked for a old school dentist and he was forced to switch

I work for a doctor (Quest is ‘contracted’ to work here) that has a primary side and a spa side; I don’t think I’ve ever seen a paper prescription-unless it was printed out-but no actual old school way. It’s got me curious now. 😂

As someone who used to work in a pharmacy up until about a year and a half ago it is definitely not usual to get a paper script. Most stuff is electronic but still got a lot of paper ones as well.

I know up until a couple years ago the military base up here near Memphis didn’t accept electronic rx for controlled medicine 💊 I am in pain management and it was such a hassle I ended up switching to Walgreens because of that and the hours

@True Crime Mama When UMMC was cyber attacked earlier this year, prescriptions were handwritten. Pain management patients had to go to the clinic and get the paper prescription.
