Abbie’s granda, the man who helped bring her up and played such an important role in her life, came through with an incredible amount of love and evidence. He immediately took me to the illness that eventually took his life, showing me that it started in his chest before spreading throughout his body, leaving Abbie in no doubt that it was her granda who had stepped forward. As he came through, he made me aware of the type of man he was. He was a very trendy man, someone who always took pride in his appearance. He dressed smartly wherever he went and always liked to look his best. He even kept up with the younger generation, wearing fashionable clothes and taking pride in how he looked, something that made everyone smile as soon as it was mentioned. More importantly, he wanted Abbie to know that the bond they shared had never been broken. He wasn’t just her granda; he was one of the people who helped raise her and became a huge part of the person she is today. He wanted her to know that he still walks beside her every day, watching over her, protecting her and guiding her through life. The emotion in the room was overwhelming as he continued to bring through evidence of the close relationship they shared, proving that although he has left this world, his love for his granddaughter never will. These are the moments that remind us that death ends a life, but it never ends a relationship.
