If you wanna save some money on the pots and pans, go with Tramontina signature with stainless steel lids. They’re also tri ply and work just like all clad

Only note- don’t get an all clad set unless you genuinely think you’ll use them all. Instead by individual pieces. Get them at the factory second sales online. They happen all the time and usually are just for packaging damage. All my all clads are factory seconds and work beautifully

I'd add a vitamix blender and/or immersion blender. I used them in professional kitchens and bought them for the house and they are the best. Theres no gimmick, just a beast of a blender.

My husband’s and I first marital fight was over a simple human garbage can. He couldn’t understand why we needed at $100 trash can. Anyways 12 years, 3 houses and 4 kids later, its still going strong. Glad I fought for that thing.

I love OXO because it’s not cheap but not priced to kill. It’s great quality and you can find it just about anywhere. I got my simple Human stainless steel for $100 at TJ MAXX and love it. My splurge, Le Creuset. 1 Dutch oven and 1 braiser replaced almost all of my all clad.

Did you know that the OXO founder created their first swivel peeler for his wife who had arthritis so it was easier for her to use? :’) she helped create early prototypes and now all of their products are geared to be inclusive and comfortable for everyone to use

I had that trashcan and it’s just like any other fancy trashcan, impossible to keep clean. The moving parts on the lid get trash bits and juice lodged in there forever and it will eventually start to reek, I can’t make myself stop using the cheapest trashcan from Walmart 😭 even if the lid gets gross, it’s $10 to replace every few years instead of $150

D3 pans are much better then d5 or copper core. They are only slightly more reactive but that also means its easier to burn food so stick to D3. Only need an 8 and 12 inch pan. For Stock and sauce pots, get Goldilocks. Fraction of the cost and better handle.

I hate my simple human trash can. the lid where you open to put the trash in gets so much junk under the lid and its so hard to clean out
