"they killed men too" they literally accused women of being witches and made it impossible for them to live if the accusation was wrong, because if they lived they were witches, if they died they weren't and no one was punished for the accusations. Oh but false rape accusations ruin lives...okay

Like sure they killed men and no one is denying that why are men’s issues only brought up to minimize women’s issues like also there is a HUGE difference between men being killed and the insane amount of misogyny, discrimination and fear women had to and still have to face for just simply being AFAB LIKE 🤦♀️😒

As someone who had a full-blown two-year special interest in The Great Witch Hunts of North-Western Europe (1510 to 1680), it definitely depended on where you were [persecuted]. In England, women were ABSOLUTELY the main target, meanwhile in the Low Countries, the number leaned more towards men (and the “heretics”/alternatively-religious groups). Comparative to German — particularly Wurzburg — which discriminated against nobody. EVERYONE was up for the “chopping block” (burned and beheaded), although there was more of a focus on the disabled and literal infants. Truly an insane, horrifying era!!
